Overview
Halo by Brilliant Labs is an open-source smart glasses platform designed for developers and creators interested in exploring on-device AI. The glasses feature a micro color OLED display, bone conduction speakers, and optical-grade lenses (with prescription and sunglass options). The integrated Alif B1 processor (Cortex-M55 CPU and NPU) facilitates on-device AI inference, leveraging ultra-low-power optical sensors, dual microphones with audio activity detection, and a 6-axis IMU. Halo runs ZephyrOS with a Lua interface and connects to a cross-platform mobile app. The glasses are also integrated with Noa, a cloud-based AI agent capable of realtime, multimodal conversations, memory recall, and personalized interactions. The platform is open-source for both hardware and software, promoting community-driven innovation.
