Overview
Eclipse Kapua is a modular open-source integration platform designed for IoT devices and smart sensors. It aims to bridge the gap between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) by providing a comprehensive set of services for device connectivity, message routing, device management, data management, and security. The platform supports multi-protocol message brokers, including MQTT, AMQP, and WebSockets, enabling flexible device connectivity and application integration. Device management features include remote operations, configuration management, and application lifecycle management. Data management capabilities encompass persistent storage for telemetry data, flexible indexing, and data registry maintenance. Security is enforced through tenant, account, and user management with hierarchical access control and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). It also offers REST APIs for application integration.
