Overview
Overamped is a Safari Web Extension designed to automatically redirect AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) and Yandex Turbo pages to their standard canonical counterparts. It operates by interacting with Safari webpages and intercepting AMP and Yandex Turbo links, replacing them with the original website URLs. This ensures users always view the full, non-AMP version of websites, regardless of whether the link is accessed from search results, other websites, or native apps like Messages and WhatsApp. By disabling AMP, Overamped aims to provide a consistent browsing experience and prevent the limitations associated with AMP pages, such as restricted functionality or altered layouts. The extension functions across various platforms, including Google Search, Google Images, Google News, and Reddit, effectively turning off AMP on Safari for all websites. All data and statistics are stored locally on the device, ensuring user privacy.
