What is a credit?

Credits power all AI interactions in Productboard Spark. Every time you use Spark's AI capabilities - like creating documents, analyzing customer feedback, or generating competitive analyses - you use credits.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You'll still have full access to your workspace, documents, and notes - nothing gets locked or deleted. However, you won't be able to use Spark's AI features until your credits reset on your next monthly renewal date or you purchase additional credits.

Can I buy more credits if I need them?

Yes. If you need more credits before your renewal date, you can purchase credit top-ups directly from your workspace. For monthly plans, credits are available in 50-credit bundles for $5 per bundle. For annual plans, you can purchase 600-credit bundles for $60 per year (distributed as 50 credits per month).

How do I get started with Spark?

When you sign up for Spark, you automatically start with 150 credits for your workspace - enough to complete 1-2 full initiatives (like creating a product brief and competitive analysis) plus additional exploration. The 150 credits are free and do not expire, so you can try Spark at your own pace. But they're a one-time allocation and won't renew each month.
